Nicoleta Costiuc acts as an observer of humans while they are experiencing the process of swimming alone or with companions. Swimming sets us free; we are playing with gravity while we are feeling the water as a feeling of comfort.
Phill Hopkins presents the imprint of the landscape in a multifaceted nature. There is an element of oasis, navigating us with intimate physical and emotional connection.
In the dreamland of Simonita Bogdanovitch there are intense moments; flashing lights with generosity in shades and in the amount of colours.
During the Summer, we have the tendency to remove the unnecessary and to simplify our lives. The work of Vassilis Theos is ruled by the idea of deduction, and whilst the design pattern seems to repeat itself, no two are alike. A puzzle of different symbols, where in their union, are acquiring different meanings.
Under the sunlight, nature itself is moving and getting busier, flourishing growth and reproduction. Ailsa Munro with almost microscopic accuracy focuses on the vegetative world, the topic of climate change along with the de- and re- wilding of our planet; an interconnected network of living organisms that often appear still, but fizz with energy and life.
Giving a timeless tone to earthly concepts, Vladan Micic puts his thought and sensibility into the absoluteness of transformation. From lofty worldly aspirations, all the way to brilliant depictions of cosmic unknowns, there is a power of a crystallized thing. The painter often bases his recognition on timeless events, searching for a lost essence in some long-gone times. In the paintings of Slobodan Stevanovitch Kut, there is an earthly paradise and an embodied eternity. Observing moments and elements of life, there is a feeling for philosophical contemplation and physical enjoyment.
The boat trips in the paintings of Stevan Colic could have multiple meanings. A realistic illustration placed in an unspecified moment. Crossing the sea, we make journeys of desire or escape discovering new places and creating our paths. In this exhibition, Yibei Liu explores human conditions and presents a series of abstract figurative sculptures that visualize the feelings of being trapped in negative emotional loops.
